Over the past two weeks, my husband and I traveled to see several family members in Tennessee and North Carolina.
My husband’s parents live in a cabin my father-in-law built at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains in Dandridge, Tennessee. A very scenic spot to enjoy some R&R.
We also visited with our youngest son who lives in Bryson City, North Carolina. And then headed out to see our oldest son, his wife (DIL), and their two sons (our grandsons) who live in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
It was time to celebrate our grandson’s birthdays (3 yo, 1 yo) since their birthdays are only about two weeks apart. Thankfully, this time of year we get to enjoy some of the beauty of fall all along the way.
What a joy for me since fall is my favorite time of year! 🙂
Our video footage was shot mostly through the mountains of North Carolina with a bit of a stretch in Smoky Mountain National Park (both NC and TN).
However, toward the end of the video, you will see a grayer day with the “smoky” clouds touching the tips of the mountains near the border of Tennessee and Kentucky as we traveled back home to Illinois.
It was a great time to see the beauty of God’s world as the season (and weather) changes in some very spectacular vistas.
Doing this video got me thinking about my “Sloppy Joe Time,” “Questioning Marriage,” and “Confessions of a Messy Mr./Mrs.” videos at my MessyMarriage YouTube channel. All of the ones I’m about to share are marriage-related videos recorded years ago.
