Exciting News!

Just this past week, my husband and I attended the AACC (American Association of Christian Counselors) World Conference in Nashville. It was such a blessing to learn from some amazing Christian counselors and educators as Gary and Greg Smalley, Leslie Vernick, Les Parrott, Linda Mintle, June Hunt, John Townsend, Henry Cloud, Emerson Eggerichs, and Greg Jantz, just to name a few. We also heard messages in the large sessions from Mike Huckabee, Lee Strobel and Josh McDowell, in addition to many others.

I feel like I learned so much at this conference! There’s an incredible amount of fascinating research that many of my workshop teachers shared about the human brain. This research gives us insight into how our brains process emotion. Thankfully, many of these professionals have taken this research and turned it into helpful models for improving relationships—with marriage in particular. This is great news for folks like us who want our marriages to not only heal, but be the best that they can be!

Another treat from the conference was being able to receive several signed copies of a variety of author’s latest books that I will be giving away at our Messy Marriage One Year Anniversary Give-Away next week!

Can I get a “Woot, Woot?!”

So be sure to check back with us next Monday, October 10th when we will unveil our new blog design and will be giving away some great books on bettering relationships.
